Good morning! I am very glad to be here to share my college life with you .
Two years ago, I came into this city of and started my college life , the most memorable journey of my life. I was just a shy and little girl that time. all the things seemed fresh to me: new faces, large library and physics lab etc. I breathed the air of college greedily, I was curious about class given by the teachers are provide us with information not only from our textbook but from other sources as well.I actively involved in student union and varies of association. But soon I realized that I do not make full use of my spare time ,so I got a part-time job to help a junior student with math lessons Besides,I also took part in activities concerning public welfare. We taught the kids there who could not afford school, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us--future teachers. The enrichment of experience taught me the significance of modesty,responsibility,tolerance,and perseverance.
And now I have been here two years. recalling to the two years, I think I have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.
Comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.
Another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with me. in these years, they forgive my faults, cry with me, laugh with me, play with me… they always stand with me and support me, I have learned a lot from them. I love them all and treasure the friendship with them.
In the next 2 years,I’ll try my best to and make great contributions to society! that’s my college life. I cherish all I have experienced in college. I love you, my college!

I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.
I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.
Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.
Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.
Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.
University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!

Title of my speech today is: water conservation, from the start bit. Students may think, a drop of water is insignificant. However, I recently saw a set of data is very enlightening: It has been dating, if the "drip" constant flow can be set in 1 hour to 3.6 kg of water, set within 1 month to 2.6 tons of water. The amount of water, enough to give a person a half a year living expenses. Visible, bit by bit to waste water should not be taken. Water on Earth and the planet's inhabitants have a huge impact, both in the family, factory, or in rural areas, water is indispensable people. More than two-thirds of the human body is water, we drink every day, sweating and breathing when used to supplement the loss of water to stay healthy. A person over four days without water can not exist, and a ton of water a year just to maintain healthy life. I suddenly came to realize that there are words of philosopher said: If we do not conserve water, the world's last drop of water is our human tears!
As a primary school, although we can not conserve water to make earth-shattering event, but we can begin to act. For example, see someone wasting water, we can actively promote water conservation significance; saw some in the dripping faucet, we can readily go off the past; do re-use of water resources to collect their washing water, laundry water flush toilets. Been made to statistics, China's 1.3 billion people if everyone saves a drop of water, will save 45 tons of water! How amazing data, ah, think of the motherland and the surging Yangtze River Yellow River, was not one drop of water from the pool made of it?

as you may know, if you can not be an excellent loser you will never win. everything in my life always shows both my advantages and disadvantages. i have been entering a lot of contests. i don’t care about the results, but feel it is more important to learn something during the process. after i failed in the contests each time, the judges always gave me useful comments and suggestion addressing my shortcomings and helped me improve myself step by step. so, now i am more self-confident to face any challenges and believe i will be the final winner in my life

Imagine a world when you wake up in a hot and stuffy weather, while the sky is no longer blue, the streets are crowded with annoying cars with the buzzing sound and the exhaust pipes blow out this horrible black smoke. What is your feeling about it?
In our current society, we can’t be more familiar with the phrase ----the low carbon economy. We all take it for granted due to the fact the concept of low carbon economy enjoys a higher and higher popularity in our daily life, especially after today’s speech contestJ how can we achieve the goal of low carbon economy?
While some hold the opinion that it is a matter of the government or it is the business of some big enterprises or companies, and it has nothing to do with us. However, to achieve the aim of low carbon economy, the efforts of governments or enterprises is far from enough. Low carbon economy can’t go further without low carbon life styles. They are going side by side with each other.
So what’s low carbon life style?
Let’s look back on our daily life. Every morning as soon as you open your eyes, are you used to turn on the lights immediately when the room is bright enough as long as you draw the window curtains apart? Is that your habit that when you are brushing your teeth you leave the water tap running on? Are you accustomed to setting the temperature of the air conditioner in your office below 26 degrees Celsius? In general, A low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspects of our modern life, such as cooking, transportation, home heating, and holiday travel, which can be conducted in a way that gives the maximum reduction of personal carbon emissions. It is a life with low energy, low consumption, low expenses.
Nowadays, in our country, a newly emerging generation----- "low carbon generation" in the metropolis has set a good example for us. Traditional clockwork alarm has regained their preference instead of electronic alarm clock; they make sure to turn off the electric equipments like computers or lights after use; they try their clothes under the sunshine while avoiding tumble dryers; what’s more, they jog in the park nearby to replace the 30-min exercise on the electric treadmill; Paper cups will no longer be held in our hands and so on. The "low carbon generation" are taking immediate actions in every details of their life to demonstrate that low carbon economy is not the responsibility of governments or companies, but our duty as individuals. So, not only does low carbon life style mean a style of life, it means an attitude towards life.
We should follow the footprint of the low carbon generation and take every step to create our low carbon footprint.
There is a saying,

But today is gift, that’s why it is called the present.
